Grattography
This technique uses the layering of acrylic paint, paraffin wax, and gouache as a base for etching and graphics. Paint, golden leaf, and often application of spangles, is added to complete the composition. At the last step of Grattography, fixative is sprayed, and then a uv protective coat is applied to protect the painting.
I love this tecnique for its versatility and delivery in the use of this unique layering method. The combination of all of these elements gives the audience a unique impression and experience.
Because Grattography painting involves paraffin wax, it is recommended to keep your Grattography painting away from direct heat sources such as direct sun light, radiator or heat vent.
