Artist Statement:

This work was inspired by a trip to a Butterfly's Garden in Victoria,
BC. where there was a curious flamingo, who came up to me
and was telling me something important. I was just stunned with
this bird's trust and ability to communicate with me.
I have also decided to create a series of birds and dedicate this series to my mother-in-law who admires and loves birds.
