Artist Statement:
This work depicts a Native American tale called "Raven Steals the Light".
There are small graphic details inside of the raven explaining the tale.
Raven decided to steal the light from the great chief, so he turned himself into a leaf and after a chief's daughter drank the water with the leaf he transformed himself into a baby. That plan was accomplished to get closer to the boxes with the stars, moon, and the sun which he finally retrieved to the sky.
